Sunita Williams is dangerous for astronauts, she has to stay in space for a long time, know complete details

Astronaut Sunita Williams: Sunita Williams has been stuck in space for a long time with her partner Barry Wilmore. Initially, her mission was only for 8 days, but due to technical faults in the spacecraft, she has not been able to return from space yet. Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams’ journey began on June 5 with the first flight of Boeing Starliner. But due to helium leak and thruster failure in Starliner, the return mission had to be stopped. Sunita Williams is currently safe in the International Space Station with her partner, but staying in space for more days can prove to be dangerous for them.

Actually, when astronauts go to space, the environment there is completely different from the earth, despite all the safety equipment, one cannot stay in space for long. Because the danger of microgravity and radiation in space emerge as a big challenge for human health. Staying on the space station for a long time can prove to be dangerous, because there is no gravity in space. Due to the absence of gravity, the body’s fluids start moving upwards. In such a situation, the face gets swollen and the nose starts getting blocked. Also, there is a lack of fluid in the legs. This causes a lack of blood in the body and blood pressure gets disturbed.

Bones become weak in space
Its serious effects are visible after the astronauts return to Earth. Sometimes astronauts are unable to stand on the ground or they start fainting. Such situations happen with all astronauts. Microgravity also has a serious effect on the muscles, due to which the muscles of the astronauts become weak especially in the legs and back. Due to this, bones are also damaged. Especially the weight-bearing bones like the spine and pelvis become weak. Due to the reduction in mechanical stress, the density of bones decreases.

How dangerous is it to stay in space for too long?
To deal with the adverse effects, astronauts also exercise in the space station, but despite this, bones get damaged. Due to lack of fluid distribution in the body, the amount of calcium in the urine increases, which increases the chances of kidney stones. Overall, the space environment has adverse effects on the human body, due to which staying in space for a long time can prove to be dangerous for the human body.
